Cloud is a complex subject, and so are all the services and products in this area. At VNIS, we always strive to create the most advanced cloud technologies (previously accessible only to large businesses) for small and medium-sized businesses at extremely good prices.

Our team is composed of experienced people in the cloud industry, understanding the needs, trends, and characteristics of a cloud-related product. So when we built our platform, we started with the technical template, no matter how the client used the platform. We also didn't have much difficulty because the majority of our users are IT professionals with solid knowledge.

After that, we realized there were more opportunities in the market than originally anticipated. Many small and medium-sized companies have asked about the services provided by the VNIS platform, but most of these companies do not have a team or even have an IT specialist to handle the tasks. related, making it difficult to use the platform. We went back to the plan and wondered: how to turn our platform into a true self-service platform?

Where is the beginning?

We were unable to perform any initial research because the SaaS cloud product with good UI/ UX does not exist. As mentioned earlier: cloud products are very complex, it is a challenge to well balance 2 UI/ UX elements with complex functions. A good example is when you try to simplify all the buttons and switches on the spacecraft's center console - it's extremely difficult.

We decided to look further and start learning some of the best SaaS platforms on the market that have good UI/ UX with complex functions. We actually learned a lot.

Market Power-Ups

After hours of research and research, we are extremely ambitious in reshaping this platform. But before going too deep, we want to solve an existing problem from the beginning. There is no easier way for users to add/remove options like CDNs and DDoS Protection to/from their website on the VNIS platform.

Sure, we can add menus or optional frames to the platform, but remember the same acceleration and conversion buttons.

In a discussion and brainstorming session, we found it a lot easier to put together all of the CDN, DDoS, and other application options together as in games. Lego bricks. From there, customers can easily customize based on their own requirements. I call these Lego pieces "Power-Ups".

Overview of Power-up interface

So where do customers get these "Power-Ups" from? We want it to be easier to navigate while considering scalability. So I think we can choose the direction as a dedicated independent market that can store all Power-Ups with clear branding and descriptions.

The theory behind this

The best reality of UX in designing an app (website or mobile app) is that it has at most 3 levels of hierarchy, or that it can confuse users while navigating or can lead people to Use splash out of working part.

According to an article by Kathryn Whitenton from the Nielsen Norman Group:

"Requiring users to click a lot of steps to get the content they want is often unproductive. Users easily get confused, distracted or simply assume that there are too many steps and give up."

She also reminded:

"All content that users need is displayed on a site and easy to see, understandable is best. Because users do not want to click multiple times and wait for web load time. Understand user needs and quit through complex steps, simplifying the website and allowing users to search for information easily."

So, instead of hiding Power-Ups' options in settings or other pages, we created a separate space for Power-Ups to not only make it easy for users to see but also help. Other items are not tangled with information or contain unnecessary, unrelated information.

And so much more

As mentioned above, our platform optimization ambition is huge. We are researching and working to come up with a new version, a new design that makes our platform something new and user-friendly.

Stay tuned for us!
